Nigerian forward, Josh Maja has been presented with the Ligue 2 Player of the Month award for October, Prompt News reports.
Maja, who has been in scintillating form for Les Girondis this season scored two goals in four appearances for the club in the month.
The striker got the award ahead of Le Havre’s Gautier Lloris and Julien Maggiotti of Stade Levallois.
Joann Gourcuff was the last Bordeaux player to win the award in April 2009.
“First of all, thank you all for your support, thank you to the coaches, thank you all for the involvement you put in training and during matches,”Maja told the club’s official website.
“We still have work. It’s only a small part of the job, but we know what we want at the end of the season. So, thank you very much for this trophy.”
The 24-year-old has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 15 appearances across all competitions for his club this season.
