| Sports can be used to promote religion if athletes are pious and knowledgeable about their religion. This was the submission of Ambassador Romoke Ramat Ayinde, the Guest Lecturer at the 2019 Ramadan Lecture organised by Oyo SWAN. Ambassador Ayinde pointed out that sportsmen like Muhammed Ali and Rasheed Yekini projected their religious beliefs through their exploits in the world of sports. Other speakers at the event were the Chairman 3SC Mr Gbolagade Abdul Waheed Busari, the General Manager Oyo State Sports Council, Mr Gboyega Makinde, a veteran sports writer, Mr Ade Somefun, who eulogized Oyo SWAN for organising the program to educate stakeholders.
