Armed bandits on Monday night abducted no fewer than three students of the Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary in Ikorodu area of Lagos State, The Eagle Online reports.
Available information has it that the gunmen stormed the school at about 8pm and took three female students along with them.
The school, located at Agunfoye-Lugbusi village, is owned by the Anglican Communion, Lagos Diocese.
The police has confirmed the development.
The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Dolapo Badmus, said detectives have swung into action to secure the release of the girls.
The state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, was said to have spent the better part of the night in the school and surrounding bushes and villages in search of the girls.
