The corpse of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General. Taoreed Lagbaja, has just arrived at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja.
The body, which arrived at exactly 3:00 p.m, was brought in an ambulance.
According to military traditions, the arrival of the remains signals the commencement of the burial ceremony for the late COAS.

After this, the casket will be set by the pallbearers, and a minute of silence will be observed by everyone present at the event.
Following this, the Chief of Defence Staff , the Minister of Defence, and the President will give their remarks.
Subsequently, the national flag will be presented to his next of kin, and the casket will be lowered. Afterward, the President, Senate President, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and other dignitaries will lay wreaths to honour Lt. Gen. Lagbaja. (PUNCH)
