Youths in kwara state have been urged to give total supports to the Leadership of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki , in his vision to give positive direction to the socio-political and Economic Development of the state and by extension Nigeria.
General Manager of ABS football Club Ilorin, Alloy Chukwuemeka stated this in Ilorin when the executive members of the Red Cross society led by its commandant detachment-1 Jimoh Abdulganiyu, paid him a courtesy call in his office.
Chukwuemeka who is also the Acting Executive Secretary of the Club Owners in Nigeria told the visiting Red Cross members to imbibe the spirit of discipline and selfless services which the organization was known for.
He said that since the formation of ABS FC as one of the pet projects of Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki’s youth development programme, a lot of youths from kwara state and other parts of the country have been developed and made millionaire- professional players, coaches and technical officials.
Chukwuemeka added that apart from ABS FC, there are a lot of other projects initiated by Saraki which have empowered a lot of youths and increased their capacity, hence he charged the Youths to rally round the Senator and give him all the needed support to succeed as the Leader of kwara.
According to him “Let me on behalf of the proprietor and Chairman of ABS FC Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki (CON) welcome you to our office and thank you for the honour done to us, pls accept the best wishes of his Excellency.
” Ours at ABS FC is not just to play football alone but it also serves as a youth development platform in line with Senator Saraki’s vision to develop the youths, and I can confidently say that we have developed and made so many players millionaires aside those we supported in their education and skills acquisition.
“In fact just recently one of our players Abdulrahman Bashir, a boy from Ilorin here, developed by the club is now a big player at Enyimba and he is now a millionaire by all standard, Look at coach Suleiman Dogo (a local chief from here) now with Nasarawa Utd as a Millionaire coach, look at Akeem Audu, a player, will in next few months graduate from University of Ilorin and host of others.
“So, I urge you to continue to give total supports to this man who created these platforms to develop our youths. Moreso let me advise you to maintain the discipline and selfless service as Red Cross is a voluntary organization that supports good works”.
Earlier, the commandant of the Red Cross, Abdulganiyu had said they were at ABS FC to associate with the good work the management was doing in the area of giving supports to youths and the poor people in the sports sector. He also expressed appreciation to the club for donating cash and ABS kits to them.
The General Manager of ABS FC was later decorated by the Red cross and inducted as a member (Patron).
