Kwara State market women and men associations have pledged continuous support for the administration of Governor Abulfatah Ahmed, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki and Honorable Segilola Abdulkadir.
The group made the pledge during a courtesy call to Hon. Segilola Constituency Office in Ilorin, on Tuesday.
Leading the two groups were Alhaja Adenike Abdulkareem Lambe and the President of Marketers Association of Kwara State, Alhaji Tunde Jimoh.
Alhaja Lambe described the leadership of Senator Saraki, and APC in the state as unique and expressed delight that Market Women in Kwara State will vote Ahmed, Saraki and Segilola for a second term against all odds and urged Kwarans to continue to support APC’s administration in the State
They pledged to work for the re-election of Governor Ahmed, Senator Saraki and Hon. Segilola in the 2015 election.
She said “The performance of Gov. Ahmed, Sen. Saraki and Hon. Segilola in their respective offices has been very impressive and has attracted the attention of market women of the State”.
She said “The market Women Association had taken time to evaluate the performance of the administration and realised it had delivered democratic dividends to the people”
Also her male counterpart, Alhaji Tunde Jimoh said “The marketers decided to drop partisanship and work for a government that thinks about the future of the people”
He said “We, the men, are very happy and thank God that Gov. Ahmed, Sen. Saraki and Hon. Segilola were given the chance again to continue with investment on meaningful developments in the State.
He said “The regime’s free education programme had saved numerous poor people’s lives, adding that the government’s financial empowerment, freedom that everyone enjoys, and construction of roads at the rural areas among many other achievements are highly commendable”
He said “The market women and men are ready to go all out to ensure the successful re-election of the Governor, Senator Bukola, Hon. Segilola and all APC’s aspirants in the State and at the National level.
Responding, Hon. Segilola showered praises on the Market Women and Men for being sincere.
She said “The only way to transform the state is when people say the truth and jettison desperate politicians”.
She therefore, assured the Association that if Governor Ahmed, Senator Bukola Saraki and all APC’s aspirants return to power, every home in the state would be ultimate beneficiaries of good governance.
