Head coach of the Super Eagles Stephen Keshi says his major worry leading up to the world cup qualifier is the fact that he did not get enough training time with his players.
Speaking with the media after a training session with the full complement of his team on Thursday Keshi, said he is worried for lack of training time and say he has a feeling Saturday’s match will be tough because he knows the Malawians also want to make it to the world but gave the assurance that his boys will deliver come Saturday.
“I have all my players now but I do not have time to work with them. I have the full complement of my players for the first time today but we only trained once and tomorrow’s training will also be once”
“This lack of time is actually what bothers me but we will do our best come Saturday”
Continuing he “the Malawians think they have a chance to be at the world cup so they will not come here and watch us play them, they may play defensive game and then go on counter runs so we need to prepare ourselves for the task ahead”
Meanwhile, Calabar fans have nicknamed Keshi “Mourinho of Africa”. The fans were singing and calling the Big Boss his new name which they say stem from the fact that he won the AFcon trophy and look set to hand Nigeria World cup ticket.
