Kano Pillars Football Club head coach Ibrahim Musa, has revealed that his target for the club next football season is to play at the final of the CAF Confederation Cup competition.
Musa who disclosed this in a telephone chat said, he has outlined his programme towards achieving the said target and details of his programme has been submitted to the management of the club.
He also stated that in as much as he has set his eye on the continental trophy (CAF Confederation Cup), he would equally pay serious attention to the domestic league, adding that winning both trophies (NPFL and Confederation Cup) would be a way to say thank you to the club’s supporters and Kano State Government.
“My target is to win double next football season. We must double our efforts.
“Already, I have started making contacts with the new players I want to use to fortify the team ahead of the inter-Club competition. Kano Pillars is a household name in African football and we must justify that picking the club to represent Nigeria was not a fluke.
“Also you know that last year Pillars were eliminated at the group stage of the Confederation Cup and for long time the club has not been getting it right at the level but this time the target is to get it right by winning the trophy.
Kano Pillars Football Club was picked as the Nigeria’s representative in this Confederation Cup competition after this year edition of Aiteo Cup organised by the NFF could not hold due to outbreak of COVID-19 Pandemic that has rendered sporting activities globally ineffective.
