The Kano State Hisbah Board, has tasked the police and relevant stakeholders to ensure speedy prosecution of Abdulmalik Tanko, who allegedly kidnapped and killed a five-year-old-girl Hanifa Abubakar.
This is contained in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Mr Lawan Ibrahim-Fagge on Monday in Kano.
Ibrahim-Fagge quoted the Commander General of the Board, Dr Harun Ibn-Sina as condemning the killing and describing it as one of the worst terrible incident that has happened in history of the state.
He also urged relevant bodies to make a through investigation to ascertain the actual cause of the incident.
The Commander General condoled with the family of Hanifa and entire people of the state over the incident.
He commended security operatives for arresting the suspect thereby unraveling the mystery behind the disappearance of Hanifa.(NAN)
