Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje Tuesday, June 14, 2016, commemced his vacation.
According to a statement by his Media Aide, Salihu Tanko Yakassai, it is expected that the governor would use the period of his vacation to perform Umrah (lesser Hajj), in Saudi Arabia.
He said while Gov. Ganduje is away, his deputy, Prof. Hafiz Abubakar will serve as Acting Governor of the state.
This year said is in accordance with constitutional provisions.
The statement is however silent on when the Governor Ganduje’s vacation would end.
