Mr Labari Tella (PDP-Jema’a) of the Kaduna State House of Assembly has said that 2019 was pregnant with optimism in every sphere of endeavour for his constituents, state and nation at large.
Tella, who stated this in a goodwill message on Tuesday to mark the beginning of the New Year, said the relative peace witnessed during the Christmas celebration was a prelude to a successful year ahead.
“There exist a general aura of a sense of togetherness and high hopes for the year 2019.
“Politically and in other aspects of human endeavour, there has been a reawakening so much that the people look forward to better governance and development across board,” he said.
The lawmaker commended politicians for their continued sensitisation of the electorate to the need for a hitch-free general election, adding, “We are hopeful in Jema’a, its environs and indeed the state that we will witness free and fair polls.”
He therefore urged stakeholders, including, traditional and religious leaders, not to relent in their selfless sacrifices as bridge builders of their respective communities and wished all and sundry a most rewarding New Year.
