All abducted victims of the University of Abuja have been rescued and reunited with their families, the Federal Capital Territory Police Command has announced.
NAN quoted the command public relations officer, DSP Josephine Adeh, as saying in a statement Friday, that the feat was achieved through a joint operation with other security agencies.
Prompt News reports that suspected bandits had invaded the UniAbuja staff quarters in the early hours of Tuesday, November 2, 2021, and abducted some staff and their relatives.
In his reaction, the FCT Minister, Muhammad Bello, had charged security agencies to ensure safe rescue of the victims.
