Mr. Peter Obi, former Governor of Anambra State, has emerged as the presidential flagbearer of the Labour Party, LP.
His emergence as the party’s presidential candidate follows his victory at the presidential primary of the party.
Prompt News Online reports that Mr. Obi recently resigned from the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
On Friday, May 27, 2022, Mr. Obi formally joined the Labour Party, saying “I have chosen a route that I consider to be in line with our aspirations and my mantra of taking the country from consumption to production; and that is the Labour Party which is synonymous with the people, workers, development, production, securing.”
