After a lull in the activities of some bad elements in the state, unknown gunmen in the early hours of Saturday attacked Umuguma Police Station in the Owerri metropolis.
Umuguma is a community in the state capital, Owerri but under Owerri West Local Government.
Prompt News gathered that the attack which occurred at about 1 am Saturday claimed the lives of two Policemen while at least seven vehicles were destroyed.
It was also learned that explosives were used by the hoodlums to attack their targets.
