A Civil Society Organisation, Northern Reform Organization, has condemned purported plans by some organisations to stage protests in some cities across Nigeria, with the intention of asking President Muhammadu to resign.
The organisation stated its position in a statement issued by its secretary, Alhaji Mahmoud Audi, on Friday, in Kano.
Audi advised all law abiding citizens in the country to disassociate themselves from actions that might plunge the country into unnecessary crises.
“We call on the organisers to also follow democratic procedures to achieve their objectives. We also call on security agencies to be on the alert,” he said.
On the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB), the organization appealed to the youths to stay calm and be patient., while soliciting for peace, unity and harmony among Nigerians. (NAN)
