The management of the Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC), has assured the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, of steady and safe power supply.
The Managing Director of the company, Abdullahi Bello-Mohammed stated this in a statement by it’s Spokesman, Dr Elijah Adakole, on Friday in Jos.
Bello-Mohammed gave the assurance during a courtesy visit by the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Sani Kunya, at the JEDC’s headquarters in Jos.
He assured unflinching support towards provision of adequate reliable and safe electricity supply in the university’s campuses.
The manager said that apart from ensuring steady power supply, the company would also help in stimulating the development of the university through its Corporate Social Responsibility.
Earlier, Kunya said the visit was to create a stronger platform of mutual cooperation between the university and the company.
Kunya said the cordial customer relationship existing between the university and the company could better be cemented by physical contacts between the management teams.
“We found it very eminent to take the lead in this regard and pay this visit that will form the nucleus of the new era in our mutual coexistence.
