The Jigawa Government has approved N2.8 billion for the feeding of the needy and vulnerable people in the state for the month of Ramadan.
Mr Sagir Musa, the state’s Commissioner for Information, Youths, Sports and Culture, said this in a statement on Thursday in Dutse.
Musa said that the decision was taken at the state Executive Council meeting on Wednesday, March 13.

He said that the gesture was to ease hardship caused by the current hike in cost of food items in the country.
He said that the government had also approved 609 feeding centres across the state for the Ramadan feeding, saying that a minimum of two centres had been approved for each of the 287 wards of the state. (NAN)
