The 26-year-old was expected to be sidelined for three weeks after undergoing scan.
The Nigerian international now look for a quick return to action earlier than the expected date.
Everton manager, Frank Lampard provided an update on the midfielder’s fitness ahead of the clash against Goodison Park.
“It’s a lesser injury than what we thought. So, we’ll see in the morning if he’s (Iwobi) ready to play tomorrow.’ Lampard told a press conference on Friday.
Iwobi has scored one goal and provided five assists in 18 league appearances for the Merseysiders this season.
