Nigeria winger Alex Iwobi had his first training session with his Everton teammates at the club’s Finch Farm training centre today (Wednesday).
Iwobi linked up with the Toffees last week Thursday from Arsenal in a deal that makes him the most expensive Nigerian player ever.
He was excluded from the Merseysider’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace last Saturday as he still lacks match practice.
The 23-year-old has been on holiday since his involvement with Nigeria at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt where the Super Eagles came third.
Everton posted a short video of Iwobi and his former Arsenal teammate, Theo Walcott stepping on to the training pitch on Twitter with a short message at the top.
”? @AlexIwobi ?? @TheoWalcott ?Reunited and linking up again in Alex’s first #EFC training session! ?,”reads the tweet.
Iwobi will look to make his debut for Marco Silva’s side when they host Watford at the Goodison Park on Saturday.
