The wife of the Vice President, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo, has advised the widows of late security personnel to be engaged in commercial activities to enhance their economic self-reliance.
Osinbajo gave the advice on Thursday when wives of the deceased officers visited her as part of activities to commemorate the 2018 International Women`s Day in Abuja.
She appealed to the widows to always be law abiding, and promised to deliver their goodwill messages to the wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari.
The women came under the umbrella of widows of defence officers association, which comprises of Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association, Nigerian Navy Officers Wives Officers, Police Officers Wives Association and the Nigerian Air force Officers Wives Association.
The wives of the deceased officers had promised to remained good mothers to their children for Nigeria to have future generation of good citizens.
The United Nations set aside March 8 of every year to mark the International women`s day.
