According to him, “it is fight to finish, until Chevron relocates its corporate headquarters to Warri, we will not relent. We have suffered too much neglect. The people where it’s headquarters is now don’t own Chevron. 80% of Chevron installations and operations are in itsekiri communities.”
He added, “Lekki isn’t an oil producing enclave, Warri is. We are tired of of other major ethnic tribes pulling the strings and dictating the pace in our own land. There are more qualified people in Warri to work in all the segments/sections. We are peace loving and the place is peaceful for the company to operate, we shall provide necessary conducive atmosphere for the company to operate. Our qualified able bodied youths are here. The economy of Warri, host to 80% of Chevron’s facilities is in shambles while Lekki’s (Lagos) economy that is not host is booming. Chevron must relocate to Warri”
