Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared winner of the contest in Ekiti State by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
On Sunday, the INEC Presiding Officer, Akeem Lasisi, announced the result at the State Collation Centre in Ado-Ekiti.
The breakdown of the results shows:
Tinubu – 201,486
Atiku – 89,554
Peter Obi – 11,397 votes thus, unable to meet 25 per cent as required by the law.
Meanwhile, the APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Tinubu, is leading in Ondo state With 13 Local Government Areas.
So far, Tinubu has won 12 LGAs out of 17 while PDP’s Atiku Abubakar has won one LGA.
APC has polled 232,282, PDP – 106,253
and Labour Party – 24,097
