A nine-year-old boy, Taiwo Korede, who had been chained and detained for weeks in a church premises has been rescued.
The operatives of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) rescued the boy on Friday.
According to a statement by the NSCDC, the officers freed the boy when they invaded the Celestial Church of Chris Key of Joy Paris Ajiwo at Ajibawo in Ado odo, Ota.
They immediately took the emaciated boy to health centre where the chains were removed after gruelling hours to avoid hurting the victim.
The case has since been transfered to the appropriate authority for further investigation and prompt actions against the perpetrators of the atrocity.
