Leicester City and Nigeria striker Kelechi Iheanacho is being linked with a move to Turkish club Trabzonspor.
According to reports in the Turkish press, Iheanacho has been identified as a possible replacement for Alexander Sorloth, who is being linked with a return to the Premier League.
Aston Villa forward Wesley and Newcastle United flop Joelinton are also being talked about as Trabzonspor plan for the eventual departure of Sorloth, who is on loan from Crystal Palace and has attracted attention from Premier League clubs.
He has scored an impressive 19 goals this season despite only managing one for Palace, for whom he signed in January 2018.
Iheanacho was in ‘flop’ territory before City boss Brendan Rodgers revived his fortunes this season.
The £25 million summer 2017 signing from Manchester City had managed just four goals in 51 appearances for City before this season started.
He has managed three goals and four assists in the League, including a late winner at home to Everton.
Iheanacho’s resurgence, then, would make it surprising to see him leave the King Power Stadium.
Turkish website Fotospor say Iheanacho, Wesley and Joelinton were all presented to Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu by transfer chief Hyseyin Cimsir and his scouting department.
If those reports are to be believed, then there is a decision to be made for the Turkish top flight club.
