The Managing Director of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), Kingsley Achife, has issued a warning against tempering with electrical installations within the company’s coverage area.
Achife, who gave the caution in a statement on Friday in Ibadan, while emphasising the significance of Easter, said that such actions remained not only illegal but also posed serious risks to electrical accidents.
He reaffirmed IBEDC’s commitment to providing good service delivery throughout the Easter periods.
The managing director also cautioned against the engagement of unqualified individuals to handle electrical issues within communities, emphasising the importance of adhering to safety protocols and proper earthing of premises.
Achife urged motorists to exercise caution on the roads, avoiding driving under the influence and adhering to traffic regulations to prevent accidents involving electrical infrastructure.
He assured customers that the technical team would be on standby to promptly address any electrical faults that might arise during the Easter holiday.
