By Gracious Akujobi Super Eagles forward Ikechukwu Uche has expressed happiness on his return to the Eagles, adding that he bears no grudges against Keshi.
Speaking at a media parley with the Eagles on Wednesdays afternoon at the team’s camp in Abuja, Uche who alongside team captain Vincent Enyeama were the last two players to arrive camp told Prompt News he would do his best now in that he is back in the team.
Uche has been frozen out of the Eagles since the team won the Afcon final over two years ago in South Africa.
His words, “I am happy to be back, I have to try my best to do well for my team.
“I don’t bear any grudges against coach Keshi. There is no problem everything is good and we are all happy and ready to go and do our country proud”
As to what Nigerians should expect from the him in the match against Congo, the Villareal of Spain forward replied:
“Expectation should not be from just me because it’s a team sport. The team is prepared to do our best to make our nation proud.
“But on my part I will try my possible best to put smiles on the faces of Nigerians”
Uche however stated that his return to Eagles will not in any way put pressure on him to perform.
“My return to Eagles does not put pressure on me I am just happy to be back” he concluded.
