By Mohammed Yangida, Lafia Governor Umar Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has said that his government will no longer tolerate a situation where unpatriotic elements in the name of opposition will continue to arm people and instigate them to fight one another.
He made this known on Tuesday during his campaign rally in Toto Local Government Area of the state.
While sounding note of warning to individuals and groups, Al-makura said “no matter your position in Government, whether in the party in government or the opposition that tries to instigate people to relax to the security challenges, my administration would decisively deal with you”.
Therefore, he called on all citizens of the State to see themselves as their brothers’ keepers and also tasked them to embrace peace process.
The Governor while appreciating the effort of traditional Fathers in the state commended them for collaborating with the state government in its desire to ensure peace and stability in the state.
He therefore, promised to give priority to their welfare in order to enable them perform their duties without any hitches.
