The General Manager of the club, Mr Promise Nwachukwu, announced the appointment on Thursday at a brief ceremony to unveil Oparanozie to sports journalists in Owerri.
He described Oparanozie as an “accomplished footballer and administrator” and urged him to ensure he brought his wealth of experience to bear in his new assignment.
“I am happy to unveil Oparanozie as the new International Scouting Manager of this prestigious club.
“He is expected to use his contacts to attract the needed international opportunities for this state-owned club, which is in need of international investments,” Nwachukwu said.
