The President of Nigeria Olympic Committee, NOC, Engr Abu Gumel on Saturday inaugurated the board of Nigeria Tegball Federation as one of the sporting federations under the committee.
Gumel who doubles as the President of Tegball while speaking during the inauguration said the federation was now officially recognized and can perform its activities beyond Nigeria.
He said Tegball is a combination of football and Table Tennis which can be played both in and outdoor. Gumel further added that “Tegball is played across over 200 nations. Nigeria is ranked 13th in the world and 2nd in Africa.
He also stated that Nigeria Tegball Federation has participated in two international events in Cape Verde 2021 and Tunisia 2022.
Also, the demonstration sports at 2022 National Sports Festival held in Asaba, Delta State and Asaba. READ ALSO:

“The Federation has distributed 54 Tegball tables accross 36 states and FCT.
“We have also ensure that Tegball is taking to schools especially secondary and Tertiary institutions.
“Our challenges now is finance and we need sponsors to finance the game,” Gumel said.
