The late General Hassan Usman Katsina is to be remembered in Kaduna at a conference to be attended by eminent Nigerians on Saturday.
A statement signed by Alhaji Lawal Kaita, chairman organising committee of the conference said, those billed to deliver papers at the occasion include former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, General IBM Haruna, Professor Ango Abdullahi and General S.O. Ogbemudia.
Alhaji Kaita said the conference aimed at immortalizing the late General, shall be chaired by Former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon and hosted by the Kaduna State government.
“Eminent Nigerians expected at the event are former Military President Ibrahim Babangida while the Sultan of Sokoto will northern Emirs and Chiefs,” Alhaji Kaita said.
He said the conference supported by Katsina state Governor Aminu Bello Masari, General Ibrahim Babangida and other well-wishers, is convened by His Highness, the Emir of Katsina, Dr Kabir Usman.
“The theme of the conference is Challenges of National Integration and Survival of Democracy in Nigeria,’ Kaita said in the statement.
