Nasarawa state governor Tanko Al-Makura has flagged off the Kadarko-Giza-Keana road project.
The flag off was performed after the presentation of staff of office to the Chief of Giza, Umar Elegu 11 as the second class chief in Keana Local Government of the state.
Al-Makura said the 30 kilometre road project is worth three billion narira, saying the road which has become a source of worry to the people of that axis is to be completed in eighteen months.
There is also an additional TA’AL model school project in Kadarko Development Area in order to enhance school enrolment as well as provide qualitative education to that community.
Governor Al-Makura said his administration has designed a blueprint which would enable the Royal fathers to be more proactive in other responsibilities as the custodian of cultures and critical stakeholders in the development of the state.
“I believe this will go a long way in opening windows for communal participation in the act of governance as well as to enable the people at the grass root to feel the Government.
“So, I am committed to providing social amenities to my people.”
The governor also used the medium to condone with the people of Giza over the unfortunate incident of communal crises that deserted the chiefdom.
“I appeal to you to sustain the community’s peace building endeavour with your neighbours which have been seen to have return peace and sanity to the state.”
