Nigeria National League outfit, Heartland have appointed former Super Eagles winger, Emmanuel Amuneke as their new head coach.
Amuneke’s appointment was confirmed by the former Nigeria Premier Football League champions on Monday.
The 53-year-old was unveiled by the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma at the state house in Owerri.
The former Barcelona player has been tasked with the responsibility of ensuring the club’s promotion to the NPFL.
He last managed Egyptian club Misr Lel-Makkasa where he served until February 2021, PNO Sports.
Heartland were relegated from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season.
