Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has appointed Dr. Kenneth Ugbala as the new Secretary to State Government, SSG and Dr. Offor Okorie as the Chief of Staff.
Others appointed with immediate effect include; Barr. Joseph Ekummanka as the SSA on Abuja liaison office, Saint Nchekwube Anako as the SA on Security & Utility – Capital city, while one Benedict Nworie is the SA on Security & Utility – Ebonyi North zone.
Also, Nwoba Onyekachi is the SA on Security & Utility – Ebonyi Central zone and Chika Nwangele as the the SA on Security & Utility – Ebonyi South zone.
Ugbala who hails from Ezza South LGA of the state, is the immediate past Commissioner for Internal Security and Boarder Peace.
Meanwhile, the National Association of Ezza Ezekuna Media Practitioners (NAEMP), has congratulated Ugbala on his new appointment as Secretary to Ebonyi State Government by the Governor.
In a statement signed by the National President of the Association, Sir Kingsley Nworie and the Secretary, Comrade Samson Nwafor, described Ugbala’s appointment as well deserved.
The statement noted that Ugbala who first served in Governor David Umahi’s administration as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Internal Security and was later promoted to a Commissioner, distinguished himself to the admiration of all while serving in those capacities.
The group who expressed optimism that Ugbala will replicate the feats he achieved in his previous positions, urged him to use his new assignment to consolidate on the trust and confidence the Governor has in him.
The group further commended the Governor for rewarding hardwork and for retaining the position of SSG in Ezza nation; which according to them, was an indication the Governor truly loves and believes in Ezza people.
They assured the Governor that the people of Ezza nation would continue to give his administration 100% support in his avowed desire to transform Ebonyi State.
