Ebonyi state governor David Umahi on Tuesday announced the appointment of Dr. Nwele Chamberlain as the Head of Service and twenty two others as Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs).
The appointments according to the governor take immediate effect as the appointees will be sworn in on Wednesday.
Five former lawmakers of Ebonyi state house of Assembly including deputy speaker; Hon. Valentine Okike-Uzo (ex deputy speaker), Hon. Frank Onwe (Chief Whip), Hon. Julius Nwokpor, Hon. Joseph Nwobasi (Majority leader), Hon. Chike Imo Ogiji are among those appointed as Senior Special Assistants.
Others include: Hon. Okechukwu Nwakpu -Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Emmanuel Obasi -Deputy Principal Secretary, while Ogbuefi Enekwachi Akpa, Barr. Emeka Nwode,Hon. Ali Odefa as the Senior Special Assistants.
The governor made this known in a public announcement signed by the principal secretary, Chief Nweke.
Also appointed are: Engr. Nwaze Okechukwu Joseph, Hon. Edwin Onwe, Hon. Silas Emeka Onu, Hon. Onyeabor Ngene, Engr. Martins Okwuegbu, Hon. Gideon Onwe, Mr. Chris Uchaji, Hon. Mark Onu, Mr. Agwu Igwe Nweze, Mrs Jennifer Adibe-Nwafor as Special assistants while Mr Stephen Nweze-Personal Assistant.
