The Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), Nasarawa State chapter, has commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for approving the absorption of over 100 casual staff of the state House of Assembly into permanent and pensionable appointments.
The union also appreciated the Speaker of the state legislature, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, for touching the lives of the assembly workers positively.
Mr Suleiman Oshafu, the Chairman of the union, made the commendation while speaking with newsmen on Tuesday in Lafia.
He said absorption of the casual workers would not only improve on their welfare but would improve on the standard of living of their family members.
“And this will also promote peace and there will be optimal productivity among the staff.
“His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule has approved the absorption of over 100 Casual Staff of the state Assembly.
“As some of them work for 15, 12, 10 years on casual basis and today we thank God that their efforts were not in vein.
“And their patience pays as the difficult process for their engagements has been completed, we give Allah the glory and thank our leaders.
“I am also commending our Speaker, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, for his all inclusive leadership and for improving the welfare of the state Assembly staff,” he said.
Oshafu assured of the workers readiness to reciprocate the governor and speaker gestures by being rededicating themselves to their duties.
The PASAN chairman assured of their prayers and support at all times to enable the state leaders succeed. (NAN)
