Nasarawa state governor Abdullahi Sule has vowed to curb violent crimes in all nooks and crannies of the state.
Sule declared this on Thursday, when he paid a condolence visit to the residence of the father of a slain officer of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Salisu Usman who was killed along with his Sister Sa’adatu on Tuesday night in Gudi, Akwanga Local government area of the state.
Prompt News recalls that Governor Sule had on Wednesday held a security meeting with over 70 traditional rulers, heads of security agencies, Fulani and community leaders in an effort to find lasting solutions to the menace.
Speaking on behalf of the deceased family, Labaran Maku, a former minister and uncle to the late siblings appealed to the governor to deploy more security personnel to search for the wife of his deceased nephew, Sa’datu Usman who is still in captivity.
He called on security agents to intensify their search for the gunmen who killed his nephew and ensure they are brought to book.
