Players of El-Kanemi Warriors will be smiling to their respective banks as the number one citizen of the state, Governor Kashim Shettima has rewarded the players handsomely for winning their week 27 match three nil against visiting Warri Wolves.
The Govenor who was in the stadium together with his cabinet to watch his boys beat Warri Wolves said he was on hand to support the boys to prove to the whole world that peace has return to Maiduguri
“I decided to be in the stadium today to give support to my boys and to tell the whole world that Maiduguri is now peaceful”
Shettima, promised the players that 50% of their sign on fees will be paid this Monday while their winning bonus was upped from 100 thousand to 30 thousand for the victory.
This victory for the Desert Warriors has seen the team move up to third ln the league table with 44 points.
