More than 60 pupils and staff members of a local school have been hospitalised due to a suspected gas poisoning in Mongolia.
Local media said the incident was recorded in the northern Mongolian province of Darkhan-Uul on Tuesday.
National Police Agency and Health Ministry were cited by the media saying the alleged gas poisoning occurred at a secondary school, called “Oyunii Ireedui,” at 11:00 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
A preliminary investigation said two students sprayed a type of gas that was likely to be tear gas in the corridor of the school’s first floor during a break.
A total of 58 pupils and six staff members have been treated in a hospital. (Xinhua/NAN)
