By Gracious Akujobi As the Nigeria Premier league winds up, former Gombe State FA chairman, Ahmed Gar- Gombe has given the League Management Company (LMC) a thumb up for managing the league thus far.
Speaking with Prompt News Online, Gombe, thinks the LMC could not be said to be incompetent but rather be given a path on the back, but hastened to add that there is room for improvement.
“From the various pedigrees of those managing the LMC, I know I can vouch for their integrity with the exception of few. I can also vouch for their capacity to manage the league. But I cannot accuse them of being incompetent, I can only say they need to do more on certain areas”
“In every aspect of human endeavour there are rooms for improvement and I am calling on the LMC to improve in some of this areas relating to the way they manage the league but certainly I cannot pass a judgment for incompetency having known their antecedents” he stated.
In conclusion, Gombe say since the current season is just two games to go Nigerians should watch out for LMC in the coming season to see if they can build on what they have achieved so far.
