Mr Meshach Jatau, has assumed duty as the new Zonal Commanding Officer (ZCO) of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Jos.
Elizabeth Chris-Eniaye, the Public Enlightenment Officer of the zone, disclosed this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Jos.
NAN reports that the Jos zonal office of the corps covers Plateau, Benue and Nasarawa States.
Chris-Eniaye said that Jatau replaced Mr Ochi Oga, who has been moved to its Headquarters in Abuja for other assignments.
”Prior to his new appointment, Jatau was the ZCO in charge of Zone 8, Oshogbo.
”He is a pacesetter, seasoned and experienced gentleman officer of repute.
”Jatau got enlisted into the corps in 1992 and took off his assignment on the Plateau and through his doggedness and hard work, he rose through the ranks to the prestigious rank of Assistant Corps Marshal.

”He achieved this feat under the tutelage of great leaders like the former Corps Marshal, Retired Gen. Haladu Hannaniya, as his Principal Staff Officer and former Minister of State for FCT, Sen. Solomon Ewuga, as his Personnel Assistant,” he said.
He said that the new ZCO was a one time Registrar of the FRSC Academy, Udi in Enugu state, Sector Commander in Abia and Rivers states, and a fellow of the prestigious Army War College.(NAN)
