A fire at a vaccination centre in south-western France may have been set deliberately, according to the authorities there.
The fire at a centre in Urrugne was presumably arson, broadcaster France Bleu reported late on Sunday, citing the public prosecutor.
Part of the vaccination centre’s tent was still burning in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to the report.
French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin criticised the incident on Twitter, saying those behind the arson attack should be severely punished.
A day earlier, French Prime Minister Jean Castex travelled to the region, and visited a different vaccination centre 20 kilometres away.
Meanwhile in the east of the country, an arson attack destroyed a vaccination centre in Lans-en-Vercors on Friday night, according to France Info. (dpa/NAN)
