A renowned Nigerian blogger, Abubakar Sidique popularly known as Abusidiqu has been arrested by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Prompt News Online gathered that he was arrested by the EFCC in connection to a story he published regarding alleged fraud in the EFCC.
As at the time of filling this report, no reason has been given for the arrest of Abubakar Sidique, publisher of Abusdiqu.com.
The social media activists and bloggers have been tweeting since early Monday morning.
Many media practitioners and bloggers have been calling for his release.
Bloggers have also created a hashtag – #FreeAbusidiq, which is now trending on twitter.
