Even without the mace, the suspended Edo State House of Assembly Deputy Speaker, Festus Ebea and three other lawmakers Tuesday announced the suspension of the Speaker, Uyi Igbe, and seven others.
The suspended members were said to have forced their way into the Assembly Chamber to carry out what is seen as illegality.
Deputy Speaker, Festus Ebea, the Majority leader and two others were suspended by the Assembly on Monday.
Edo State House of Assembly has been engulfed in crisis lately with the defection of some APC lawmakers to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
On Monday the State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, alleged that each of the lawmakers got N50 million to defect to the PDP.
