The First Lady, Patience Faka Jonathan, has described Dr. Jonah David Jang, the Governor of Plateau State as a “visionary leader” who has been blessed with the qualities of an exemplary democrat and a quintessential statesman.
Mrs. Jonathan, who doubles as the President of African First Ladies Peace Mission stated this on Friday in a congratulatory message to Governor Jang on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
While noting that the Governor had joined the respected league of septuagenarians in Nigeria, she recalled his outstanding contributions during those years, to the development of Nigeria, particularly in the old Gongola State where he governed and presently, in Plateau State, where she noted that, “He continues to pilot the affairs of the State with wisdom and humility.”
While wishing him a memorable birthday, she prayed that God in His infinite mercy should continue to imbue the Governor with the courage and strength to serve his Fatherland. She also wished him divine grace, God’s abundant favour and sound health.
