Sen. Grace Bent, the first female Senator in the North-East 2011-2015 – Adamawa South Senatorial Zone – has canvassed for women’s massive votes for APC’s Bola Tinubu ahead of Saturday’s presidential poll.
Sen. Bent, who is the National Coordinator, Stakeholders Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, made the call in Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa while addressing women groups from Adamawa Southern Zone on Wednesday.
She called on them to understand that politics was not a religion, hence the need to vote for Tinubu/Shettima.
Bent advised them to use their wisdom and give their votes for Tinubu to transform Nigeria with his wealth of experience as the former Governor of Lagos State.
She called on them to understand that the Naira crisis in the country had nothing to do with APC but Central Bank of Nigeria’s policy.
“You should understand that Tinubu is the man that will take us to the promise land by addressing all the challenges we are facing.
“Use your Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) wisely to vote for APC, to avoid invalid votes,” she said.
Anna Sini, Adamawa Women Coordinator PCC, also urged women to vote for APC to get more dividends of democracy in the state and country at large.
She said Tinubu was the right candidate to lead the country from May 29 if voted to power.
Sini also appealed to the electorate to understand that Muslim Muslim ticket was political calculation not a sentiment, as politics had nothing to do with religion.
Mrs. Olvadi Bema, Director, Women Mobilisation PCC, Adamawa, called on women to actively participate in the elections for the victory of the party at all levels.
“Tinubu has leadership skills and we have seen his antecedents, what he did in Lagos, how he transformed Lagos which is the largest city and commercial hope of Nigeria.
“We the women of Adamawa State are solidly behind him and we will cast our votes for him to emerge President of Nigeria because, we believe he will carry women along,” she said. (NAN)
