By Gracious Akujobi The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped four places in the latest world FIFA ranking released on Thursday for the month of January, 2014.
The African champions slid from 37th to 41st spot in the world. They also slipped three places on the continent, going down from 4th to 7th place after being replaced by Egypt, Cape Verde and Mali who are now fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
Ivory Coast, Ghana and Algeria maintained the top three spots in Africa, while Tunisia, Cameroon and South Africa completed the top ten on the continent.
Spain, Germany, Argentina, Colombia and Portugal remained unmoved in the world top five, as world cup host Brazil held on to the tenth spot.
