**As 4 African teams face tough draw

World football governing body, FIFA has confirmed the seedings for the 2025 Club World Cup draw which will take place on Thursday, December 5, 2025 in Miami, United States.
Manchester City of England, Spain’s Real Madrid, Bayern Munich of Germany and
Paris St. Germaine (PSG) of France are all in Pot 1.
Other club’s in Pot 1 which guarantees them not facing top seeds in the group stage are Brazil’s duo of Flamengo and Palmeiras alongside River Plate of Argentina and Brazil’s Fluminense all in the competition which will be contested by 32 clubs from the six football confederations in the world.
Also, Pot 2 contains Chelsea of England, Germany’s Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan of Italy, Portugal’s FC Porto, Atletico Madrid (Spain, Benfica of Portugal, Italy’s Juventus of Turin and Salzburg of Austria.
Meanwhile, African representatives are seeded in Pot 3 and Pot 4. Out of the four clubs representing the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in the global showpiece.
Two clubs, Al Ahly of Egypt and Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca are seeded in Pot 3 while Tunisia’s Esperance Tunis and Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa have been locked in Pot 4.
