***As CBN rates bank best in Nigeria

In response to the charge of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the provision of livable and affordable houses to Nigerians, FHA Mortgage Bank Limited has started implementing the policy as it has already handed keys to the beneficiaries of Eco-friendly homes in Abuja.
This is even as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) have rated the FHA Mortgage Bank as the best among the Primary Mortgage banks in the country.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Senator Gbenga Ashafa whose office directly supervises the primary mortgage bank made this public in Abuja at a press conference to unveil the programme of activities leading to the FHA Golden Jubilee Celebration which will hold from Thursday, November 23 to 24, 2023 at International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja.
According to Ashafa FHA under his watch has in the last three years succeeded in repositioning its mortgage bank arm (FHA Mortgage Bank Limited) which is fully owned by the Authority, adding that the financial outfit has received certifications from the country’s apex bank and also the secondary mortgage bank FMBN.
“I make bold to say that FHA Mortgage Bank is rated among the best Primary Mortgage bank in Nigeria by both the CBN and Federal Mortgage Bank. Only last week, the bank handed keys to the beneficiaries of Eco-friendly homes in Abuja, in response to the charge of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR on the provision of livable and affordable houses to Nigerians. The bank has also commenced the construction of its Head Office complex in Gwarinpa”, Ashafa stated.
The FHA boss praised the management style of the Managing Director/CEO of FHA Mortgage Bank Limited, Alhaji Hayatudden Atiku Awwal, saying that he has sustained the legacy of the mortgage bank and is working hard to reposition the outfit to continue to play its statutory responsibility of providing affordable housing for the low income and middle class Nigerians.
Ashafa encouraged Nigerians to patronise FHA Mortgage Bank Limited for their banking and their mortgage needs, pointing out that the mortgage bank is well positioned to meet their expectations.
Meanwhile, Ashafa has said in commemoration of the Golden Jubilee Celebration, FHA has commenced with the construction of the Golden Jubilee Estate in Mbora District of Abuja, adding that “this estate would be replicated in all the zones of the country, with the Lagos estate being the next on the line to start. The former Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, said the press conference was one of the events lined up for the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Authority which he said would be graced by President Tinubu while the immediate past Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola who will present a Keynote Address.
