The Federal Government has officially suspended the embattled Nigeria’s
Accountant-General, Mr. Ahmed Idris who is currently facing very serious allegations of fraud against the country.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had on Monday arrested AG Idris, over alleged mismanagement of N80billion.
Idris who was arrested in Kano State and brought to Abuja is currently being interrogated by EFCC at an undisclosed facilities in Nigeria.
However, Prompt News has gathered that the federal government has now suspended Idris from office against the backdrop of criticisms which have trailed the mind-boggling amount of money involved in the crime and why the suspect has not been suspended from office.
Idris is alleged to have acquired multi-billion naira properties, shared to family members, secretly married teenage girl before he was eventual arrest by anti-graft agency (EFCC) early in the week.
He is yet to be arraigned in court by EFCC.
