The Minister of State for Finance, Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Agba is set to unveil the first Service Delivery Charter of the national planning arm of the ministry to the public.
Director of Reforms Coordination and Sevice Improvement Department of the ministry, Dr Anne Nzegwu disclosed this at the presentation of the draft of the Service delivery charter agenda to stakeholders, clients and customers for their inputs, on Friday in Abuja.
She explained that the first service delivery charter was developed “when we were National Planning Commission, and just before the publication, we were merged and became Ministry of Budget and National Planning.
“The presentation is an opportunity for stakeholders to make their imputes before it’s formally validated and presented to the public,” she said while addressing the participants at the headquarters of the ministry”.
She however explained that just before the publication of the charter, “we were further merged to become Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, adding that, “we are today presenting our draft integrated service delivery charter of National Planning Arm of Ministry to our stakeholders, customers and clients for input on their expectations while we present our obligations to them”.
Dr Nzegwu pointed out that, “Service Delivery Charter is the bible that guides the operational activities of the institution. It states the mandates, and targets of every department and unit including that of its parastatal. It states our expectation of our stakeholders, customers and clients”.
A Resource Expert, Dr Francisca Odeka presented the draft charter to the participants who were drawn from the Ministry’s departments and agencies (MDAs).
Among other provisions, the document specifies the rights and mandate of every government establishment and the expected conduct of every worker in the federal civil service.

She said the stakeholders will be invited for validation of the completed document when the Minister of state for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Agba will be presenting it to the public.
